Brentwood

Brentwood

Brentwood is one of our favorite places in all of Los Angeles, and we love having the opportunity to service our Brentwood neighbors with all of their cannabis needs. This quiet, Westside neighborhood is directly northwest of us. Haven’t been to see us yet? Come stop in and say hello!.

DID YOU KNOW THAT WE WERE NAMED MARIJUANA DISPENSARY OF THE YEAR IN THE BRENTWOOD AREA?

We’re pretty big fans of this neighborhood, from its tree-lined streets and diverse architecture to its biggest attractions – the Getty Center, Brentwood Country Mart, and Brentwood Village. Brentwood has some of the lowest population densities in the city with only 2,059 people per square mile (compared to the average Los Angeles density of 7,544 people per square mile). It’s known as one of the “Three B’s” of the region, along with Bel Air and Beverly Hills. It’s boundaries include the San Diego Freeway on the eastern side, Wilshire Boulevard to the south, Santa Monica on its southwest side, and Mulholland Drive to the north.

why we love brentwood

Brentwood has been home to some well-known political figures and professionals, such as Steve McQueen, Harrison Ford, Marilyn Monroe, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is one of the most affluent areas of Los Angeles. With attractions like the Getty Center and the Skirball Cultural Center, visitors can get their arts and culture fix. You can take a stroll and see unique architectural gems and famous historical homes. Another must-see on the list is the Brentwood Country Mart, a marketplace with shops and stalls surrounding a central courtyard. Stop there for a bite to eat or local celebrity sightings.

DID YOU KNOW THAT BRENTWOOD GOT ITS START AS A MEXICAN LAND-GRANT RANCH?

It was part of the Rancho San Vicente y Santa Mónica, which was sold off by the Sepulveda family shortly after the end of the Mexican-American War in 1848. Brentwood was part of the small community of Westgate before being annexed by Los Angeles in 1916. In 1961, a Santa Ana fire spread into Brentwood, burning 16,090 acres and destroying 22% of the homes.

Brentwood is full of interesting facts, trivia, and traditions. The famous coral trees along San Vicente Boulevard are decorated every year with holiday lights, and the maypole is raised every year on the lawn of the Archer School for Girls. Unfortunately, Brentwood is also known for the location of the O.J. Simpson crime scene, as well as the end of Simpson’s notorious police chase.
