Marijuana Dispensary
of the Year in Santa Monica

Did we mention that we’ve been named Marijuana Dispensary of the Year in the Santa Monica area?

We’re big fans of this place, to say the least. From its incredible beach views and vibrant downtown life, there are endless opportunities for entertainment. It has the laid-back beach culture that we love, but it’s paired with all of the amenities of a big city. We’re talking delicious food of every caliber, and some of the best breweries and bars in the region. Most people come to Santa Monica for the sights and the shops, especially within the shopping districts of Montana Avenue to the north, the Downtown District, and Main Street to the south.

Why We Love Santa Monica

The beach is one of our favorite places in the entire Los Angeles area. With its 5.5 kilometer coastal stretch, this city is home to the infamous Santa Monica Pier with its historical Looff Hippodrome carousel and iconic ferris wheel. It also has plenty of arcade games, a Trapeze School, an aquarium, and live music around every corner. If the Pier isn’t your jam, the beach itself has plenty of things to do: bike rentals, volleyball courts, surfing, paddleboarding, or the simple act of soaking up the sun and watching all the interesting people come and go.

Eco-friendly

Santa Monica is one of the most environmentally-friendly municipalities in the United States by leading efforts in bicycle infrastructure, waste reduction, and water conservation.

Beautiful views

This one is obvious: the city is surrounded by mountains and beach and looks as picturesque as a postcard. And that’s probably why the coastline of Santa Monica is on so many postcards.

Vibrant Downtown Life

Santa Monica has a great nightlife. There are plenty of upscale lounges, dive bars, comedy clubs, dance clubs, and venues for live music to choose from.

Did you know Santa Monica has been referred to as the “City of Inspiration”, “Pearl of the Pacific”, and “Jewel of the Sunset Bay” throughout history?

Since the beginning, people have had a thing for Santa Monica. It was first occupied by the Gabrielino and Chumash Indians before being discovered by the Spanish in 1542. In 1822, it passed from Spanish control to the Mexican Republic. It wasn’t until 1849 when Colonel Robert S. Baker purchased the land that plans were put into place for a commercial town on the bay. Hotels and resorts were built towards the end of the 19th century, turning it into a tourist destination.

This little getaway of a city is full of surprises and little known facts: For example, the Pier was originally used to carry sewage out past the breakers before being turned into an entertainment hub. The Pier also holds the Pacific Wheel, which is the first solar-powered Ferris wheel. Back in the 1920’s, Santa Monica was chosen as the official stopping point of Route 66, the road connecting Chicago and Los Angeles. And speaking of transportation, two wheels are better than four out here, as Santa Monica is one of the friendliest cities for cyclists in the country.
