DID YOU KNOW THAT WE EARNED THE TITLE OF MARIJUANA DISPENSARY OF THE YEAR IN THE BEVERLYWOOD AREA?

Bordered by Pico-Robertson to the north, Mid-City to the east, Palms to the south, and Cheviot Hills on the west, this neighborhood is home to 12,775 residents. The neighborhood has a high percentage of homeowners at 70.3%, and is considered a more affordable area than its famous neighbor, Beverly Hills. It’s a quiet, primarily residential location with a few great shops and restaurants. But what it lacks in commercial options, it makes up for with quick access to neighboring communities.

why we love beverlywood

Beverlywood is a quiet, affluent community with beautiful trees lining the streets. It’s a great spot for families and professionals looking for a peaceful getaway from the busyness of surrounding neighborhoods. The main drag on South Robertson Boulevard holds most of the best restaurants and shops, from mom and pop shops to trendy bars and restaurants. The Homeowners’ Association is quite strong, and they’ve fought off any major developments in the area that might take away from the local charm. They also manage several private parks that are only accessible for residents, so additional green space is a definite perk.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE AREA WE KNOW AS BEVERLYWOOD TODAY WAS ONCE A CATTLE RANCH?

The ranch, Rincon de los Bueyes, would turn into what we identify as South Robertson. It was originally patented to the Beverly-Arnaz Company back in 1872. Beverlywood was established as a residential community by the Walter H. Leimert Company and became an ideal subdivision to live in the Los Angeles area, as it still is today.

Did you know that Beverlywood was one of the first neighborhoods in Los Angeles to have CC&Rs? These early covenants, conditions, and restrictions limited the housing style, design, and size as well as landscaping. As an “Incorporated Community” all Beverlywood residents must pay fees to the Homeowners Association. In recent years, some residents have campaigned the Los Angeles City Council seeking to restrict the number of larger, mansion-sized homes being built in the area, feeling that it takes away from the charm and uniformity of the existing community.
